Über die Funktion
Grundsätzlich können Sie Dateien in jedem beliebigen Dateiformat zu pixx.io hochladen. Alle Dateien können mit pixx.io verwaltet, verschlagwortet, gesucht, gefunden und geteilt werden.
Vorschau- und Konvertierungsfunktionen von pixx.io sind allerdings Medienformaten vorbehalten. Nur Bilder, Videos und verschiedene Dokumenttypen werden in der Medienansicht und in der Einzelansicht also als Vorschaubild bzw. abspielbares Vorschauvideo oder -audio dargestellt.
Bitte beachten Sie beim InDesign-Format .indd, dass in der Datei ein Vorschaubild vorhanden sein muss, damit dieses auch in pixx.io angezeigt wird. Dieses konfigurieren Sie unter Dateihandhabung > InDesign-Datei speichern unter Vorschaugröße. Nutzen Sie am besten die größte Stufe 1024 x 1024 Pixel.
Die Konvertierung der Medien spielt etwa beim Teilen und Herunterladen eine große Rolle: Sie können einstellen, in welchem Dateiformat und in welcher Größe Dateien zur Verfügung stehen und ob Medien mit einem Wasserzeichen versehen werden sollen.
Dateien, von denen pixx.io kein Vorschaubild generieren kann, werden in der Medienansicht als Dateisymbol mit Angabe des Dateiformats angezeigt.
Zu den rund 150 konvertierbaren Dateiformaten zählen etwa alle JPG-, BMP- und TIF-Versionen sowie PDF, PSD, Vektorgrafiken und eine Vielzahl an unkomprimierten RAW-Formaten.

About the feature
In principle, it is possible to upload files of any format to pixx.io. All files can be managed, given keywords, searched, found and shared using pixx.io.
However, preview and conversion functions in pixx.io will only work with certain formats. Only images, videos and certain document types are shown in the media view with a preview image, video preview or audio preview.
Please note that the InDesign format, .indd, must have a preview image embedded into the file for a preview to be shown in pixx.io. This can be configured from File handling > Save InDesign file under preview size. We recommend using the largest size of 1024 x 1024 pixels.
Media conversion is of importance when sharing and downloading files. You can configure into which file format and in what size files should be available and whether media will be watermarked.
Files for which pixx.io is unable to generate a preview image are shown in the media view with a file icon indicating the file format.
Around 150 file types can be converted. These include JPG, BMP and TIF files as well as PDF, PSD, vector graphics and a range of uncompressed RAW formats.
